Emily has been promoted within the Risk and Compliance team to Risk Advisor

When did you join Conister Bank? 

I joined 3 years ago after I had completed my first term at University and decided that it just wasn’t for me!  I started as a Compliance Administrator, I wasn’t sure it would be for me, however I was welcomed into the team and really enjoyed my role.

What do you do in your new role? 

I will be working with the business to develop the Risk Management Framework and encourage a positive risk culture within the business.

What has helped you with your promotions?

I’ve spent 3 years in the Compliance Team and felt like I wanted to branch out into Risk. This has been achieved through hard work in both my role and my studies. The company has been very supportive of these studies which has helped me to develop and grow.

These exams included:

 - ICA Certificate in Compliance

-  ICA International Advanced Certificate in Anti-Money Laundering 

-  IRM Certificate in Financial Services Risk Management 

What is your favourite thing about working for Conister Bank? 

I have been given lots of great opportunities to further develop my career, and of course working with the great team at Conister!
