Conister Bank contributes to strong H1 2026 performance for Manx Financial Group

Conister Bank has reported continued growth during the first half of 2026, helping more customers and businesses access the finance they need while maintaining a strong and resilient financial position.

The figures, published as part of Manx Financial Group PLC's interim results for the six months ended 30 June 2026, show Conister's net loan book reaching £410.3 million and customer deposits standing at £440.8 million at the end of June.

The results reflect continued demand for Conister's lending products across both the Isle of Man and the UK, with growth recorded across several core lending activities, including unsecured personal lending, block discounting and specialist finance.

Throughout the period, Conister remained focused on providing responsible and accessible finance solutions to customers while maintaining its prudent approach to lending and risk management.

Despite the continued economic challenges facing consumers and businesses, arrears and impairment trends remained within the Board's expectations, reflecting the Bank's disciplined underwriting approach and ongoing commitment to credit quality.

Conister's strong deposit base of £440.8 million has enabled the Bank to continue supporting customers with lending products while maintaining a substantial liquidity surplus and strong capital position.

The Bank's performance contributed to a positive first half for Manx Financial Group, which reported operating income of £19.7 million, a record Group loan book of £422.9 million and total equity of £45.5 million.
