Celebrating 90 Years of Supporting Sight on the Isle of Man

Kerry Waddington, Conister Bank’s Head of Marketing and Communications, alongside Andy Bass, Head of Sales, were delighted to attend the 90th anniversary celebration of the Manx Blind Welfare Society, held at Government House.
The evening marked a significant milestone, celebrating nine decades of dedicated support for people living with sight loss across the Isle of Man. It was a powerful reminder of the lasting impact this well‑established charity continues to have within our community, made possible by the commitment of its team, volunteers and supporters.
We are proud to stand alongside such an important Island charity and support sight loss initiatives with Sight Matters. Throughout 2025, this included supporting the annual Coast2Coast event, fundraising in our office with ‘Bright 4 Sight’ Day, and welcoming Sight Matters onto our stand at the Royal Manx Agricultural Show to highlight their impactful work in our community.
Congratulations to everyone involved at Manx Blind Welfare on reaching this remarkable anniversary, and thank you for the vital work you continue to do for our Island.
