Backing Local Talent at the 2025 Island Games
The Isle of Man delivered an outstanding performance at the 2025 Island Games in Orkney, finishing 4th overall with a total of 80 medals. As supporters of the Games, Conister Bank was thrilled to cheer on our very own Lee Gale, Sales Manager at Conister Bank, and rising sprint star Meghan Pilley, as they represented Team Isle of Man with energy and passion.
Held from the 12th to the 18th of July, the Games brought together over 2,000 athletes from 24 island nations, competing across 12 sports in a celebration of international friendship, competition, and community spirit.
“Supporting the Island Games is about more than sport - it’s about empowering individuals who represent the best of our community,” said Andy Bass, Head of Sales at Conister Bank. “We’re incredibly proud of Lee and Meghan, and of Team Isle of Man’s achievements in Orkney.”

⚽ Lee Gale: Leading from the Front
A seasoned Island Games competitor, Lee helped drive the Men’s Football Squad to a bronze medal, scoring in the opening match and bringing leadership and experience to the pitch in his fourth Games appearance.
🏃♀️ Meghan Pilley: Sprinting with Purpose
Meghan competed in eight races over six days, placing 5th in both the 100m and 200m finals, and delivering the fastest leg in the 4x400m relay. Her performance contributed to the Athletics Team’s 15-medal haul, including 6 golds.
